Cancel your Cathay Pacific flight online

Cathay Pacific 24-hour cancellation policy

A service fee of 17,000 Asia Miles or $120 will be applied to the cancellation of it is made before the ticket expiration date. After applying for the award, your membership account will be credited with the mentioned amount of Asia Miles remaining. As per Cathay Pacific refund policy, the credit card used would receive a reimbursement of airport taxes and fuel surcharges in 28 to 42 days at the current exchange rate. Plus, you can modify your flight dates online for a cost of 7,500 Asia Miles or $50 since flight awards typically have a validity period of one year from the date of issuance. You will have to pay 6,000 Asia Miles or $40 per ticket if you make a change to your ticket by a method other than online self-service. Change requests need to be submitted before your scheduled departure date and are subject to award seat availability.

Cancellation policy for full refunds

• You are eligible to get the full refund if you have cancelled your flight ticket within 24 hours of booking and the flight is booked at least 7 days before its departure date.
• You are eligible to get the full refund if you have cancelled a flight departs to/from the United States.
• You are eligible to get the full refund if you booked your ticket online from Cathay Pacific’s U.S. website.
• You are eligible to get the full refund if you were denied boarding even though you had a booking that is confirmed.
• You are eligible to get the full refund if your flight is delayed by 5 hours or more.
• You are eligible to get the full refund if your flight is rescheduled and the new flight causes you to miss a connecting flight.
• You are eligible to get the full refund if you are holding a First Flex ticket.

You will also get the full refund for any serious reason that did not allow you to catch the flight. A death or serious illness will prevent you from catching your flight. In such circumstances, you will have to submit the documentary evidence and the airline management should accept it.

• To avoid the no-show fee, you will have to cancel your ticket before the departure date.
